One constant in our economy is that technology will change. It is unlikely that you would build a new home or remodel your existing home based upon old technology. Imagine, building a new home with knob and tube wiring. Not only would you be creating a hazardous environment, chances are the house would never pass inspection.
The latest technique in wiring technology for home phone, cable, sound, and data is called structured wiring. At Denny’s Electric we have standardized this technology in all new construction. In 1998, less than eight percent of the homes being built included structured wiring. Today, according to the National Association of Home Builders, approximately 42 percent of new homebuilders offer structured wiring packages. Structured wiring is among the top three requested services in construction projects.
Updated wiring is a requirement for applications such as wired in-home networks, video distribution, audio distribution, and high-speed internet.
